A high end photography portfolio promotion on 45gsm Newsprint!

We were confident that our new B2 press could handle this, but it was the level of colour being used throughout that could be a concern, but being given the challenge we prepared in the best way we could. We ordered the stock and kept it in our climate and humidity controlled new building, helping to insure the sheet was in its best condition to get through the press. Moisture in a sheet this thin can really make it curl and stretch like no other, so preparation was critical. Also the colour levels in the actual images was also going to be key, as too much ink on this sheet would saturate the sheet causing ink to bleed through to the other side. Then it was picking the right screening to get the sharpest print we could, after running some screen tests we were ready to go and WOW we got fantastic results! It really was all in the preparation and it really paid off, the paper ran like a dream and the fantastic images really came to life.

The cover was printed on a single sided cast coated with Build typically putting the graphics on the perfect side for the image and the image on the uncoated side to match up with the newsprint! With design and photography at its best its not hard to see why this came out so well!

GP Promo

Limited Edition Poster:
Designed by Build.
We put our new B2 press to the test with a double sided Limited Edition poster. Consisting of 5 spot colours on one side and a rather epic 16 spots on the other. It is printed on a 180gsm Chromolux stock.

GP Tube Mailer:
After a weeks work of endless mock ups and persistence, An& and Kevin came up with the final construction for our custom GP Tube Mailer, we then gave it to Build to work their magic. The tube is telescopic, it can hold up to B2 size prints & proofs. It has been constructed to be re-used many times.

GP Van:
We were very excited at the prospect of having our van sign written, it was again designed beautifully by Build. The left side panel has a twitter speech bubble. We will be changing this through-out the course of 2012, using twitter competitions that we will make you aware of in the new year.

On the 15th December we did a Christmas run around London in our freshly liveried new van. Delivering the Limited Edition Poster in Our Tube Mailer, it was a really fun day & was filmed by the newest member of our GP family Heather. Sorry if we missed you, we will be sending more out in the new year, so keep your eyes peeled.

Build: Dove Bunting

Build aproached us to help with a fun and worthwhile project; with a set budget they needed to create a product that could sell in the Design Museum Shop!

*Simple really, printing 4 colour process on recycled grey-boards, sprinkle a *bit of magic, and the kids have a wonderful product that should make loads of cash for their chosen charity. *Build

We are very proud to have been involved in this years Design Ventura schools competition, set & run by the Design Museum, London. The annual competition encourages schoolchildren to think about design in everyday life and the challenge is to design a product for sale in the Shop.

This years winners were Haberdashers Askes Hatcham college in South London, who designed Dove Bunting, based on the Design Museum Shop bird.

The bunting is on sale and can be brought from the Design Museum Shop & also online
. It costs £9.95, and all profits from sales will be donated to Greenpeace which is the winning schools chosen charity, so buy lots for friends and family!
