Our Green Policy
Green Thinking & Doing.
Within the print industry we genuinely believe that we are leaders in the field of sustainability.
We are proud to have always run our business in a clean, ethical and wholly sustainable way. That means we source everything carefully- including our suppliers- so that all those we work with also share our principles and outlook.
A start point is careful and considered choice of paper stocks and the products we use in production; but we have also chosen our electricity to be 100% renewable, our coffee to be fairtrade and our milk to be as good as straight from the cow this morning (its very local).
We also use the latest 'computer to plate' technologies which (coupled with using vegetable-based inks wherever we can) means less chemicals and less energy spent in the printing process. We choose stock size carefully to minimise paper waste. A simple change can mean the world of difference.
We deliver using a tried and trusted local overnight courier.
We chose them because they hand deliver- direct- not via another depot for distribution.
Its our aim to keep the number of vehicles delivering our parcels to a minimum by grouping deliveries together, but for urgent jobs we will choose the best alternative for fastest service, and with least environmental impact. We are also setting up a tree-planting initiative to offset the emissions produced by all our deliveries.
We donate off cuts & over-runs to schools, re-use scraps for office notes
and recycle what can't be used.
We even compost our food waste.
And we are Carbon Neutral. For us this isn't about buying our way out of bad habits and sloppy practices because we'd like to think we have very few (and we're working hard on those little ones we know about).
Being Carbon Neutral is a simple way to show the world that we stand by our principles
and that these guide us in everyday practice of our business.
These guiding principles are beautifully encapsulated in our set of custom icons (below)
which we now use on all of our printed work. If we produce print for you we also supply
these to use on your artwork, if you choose.
It reassures your clients that not only you have selected your printer carefully,
but also the print will have been produced with the minimum impact and the utmost consideration for the environment.
